CHARLOTTE, N.C. — When the sun goes down, the zombies come out at SCarowinds!
Beginning Sept. 17, Carowinds will up its thrills and chills when it transforms into the terrifying SCarowinds, one of the biggest Halloween attractions in the Carolinas.

Prepare for a screaming good time as you navigate through the darkness of haunted mazes and scare zones. There will also be live shows and more than 500 creatures and monsters roaming the park.
Rides that will be open include Afterburn, Carolina Cyclone, Carolina Goldrusher, Copperhead Strike, Do-Si-Do, Drop Tower, Electro-Spin, Fury 325, Hurler, Intimidator, Mountain Gliders, Nighthawk, Ricochet, Ripcord, The Flying Cobras, Vortex and Windseeker. SCarowinds will be open Fridays and Saturdays from Sept. 17 - Oct. 2; and Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 8-31, plus Oct. 28.

Know before you go
Halloween masks, face-painting or costumes are not allowed into SCarowinds. Guests may not enter wearing trench coats or flak jackets.
SCarowinds is a separately gated event. General Carowinds tickets are not valid and a SCarowinds ticket is required.
No cameras or photography is permitted inside the haunted mazes or scare zones.
Once you leave SCarowinds, reentry is not permitted.
Guests may not bring bags of any kind, including purses, backpacks or diaper bags, into the park during SCarowinds.
