Places to shop local for the holidays

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This holiday season, it’s especially important to shop small and support your favorite Charlotte shops and boutiques while you’re taking care of your Christmas list.

Because of the pandemic, many places are offering curbside pickup and online ordering if you aren’t comfortable shopping in person.

Pop-up markets to consider this holiday season include:

Charlotte Christmas Village - Shop for handmade crafts, gifts and specialty foods like strudels, bratwurst and sauerkraut at this European-inspired holiday market. Open Nov. 27 through Dec. 23 at Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights. Click here for details.

VTGCLT Pop-up - This pop-up shop at The Metropolitan features more than 90 regional brands and is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Sunday through Dec. 10. Dec. 11-23 the shop will be open daily. Shopping appointments are available for mornings. Click here for details.
