HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Live music and events were put on pause at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, including many local festivals.

After taking two years off, organizers of the North Carolina Brewers and Music Festival have announced its return. The 2022 festival is set to take place May 6-7 at Rural Hill in Huntersville.

The event features two days of live music and more than 40 brewers providing hours of tastings.

Bands scheduled to appear include The Steeldrivers, Jade Bird, Acoustic Syndicate, Larry Keel Experience, Katie Pruitt and several others.

Tasting tickets cost $50. Any unsold tickets will be available at the gate at an increased price.

All-day music-only tickets for Saturday can be purchased for $28. With those tickets, beer still can be purchased but not sampled. Tickets for designated drivers and kids are available at a reduced rate.

Tickets for the Friday night jam cost $15. There is no beer tasting on Friday.

Camping also is available. Online reservations are recommended.

Tickets purchased for the 2020 festival will be honored, including camping passes.
