Meet horror stars, pop culture celebs at Mad Monster Party

CONCORD, N.C. — Meet pop culture icons and characters from classic horror movies at the annual Mad Monster Party Carolina, a three-day fan convention happening Feb. 18-20 at the Embassy Suites in Concord.

In addition to celebrity meet and greets, there will be vendors selling collectibles and memorabilia, seminars and speaker panels.

Celebrity guests include: Neve Campbell (“Scream,” “Party of Five”); Curtis Armstrong (“Revenge of the Nerds,” “Supernatural”); Robert Carradine (“Revenge of the Nerds,” “Escape from LA”); Robert Patrick (“Terminator 2,” “Peacemaker,” “X-Files”); Sherilyn Fenn (“Twin Peaks,” “The Wraith,” “Boxing Helena”); Kane Hodder (“Leatherface” from “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” video game), James Jude Courtney (“Halloween,” “Halloween Kills,” “Halloween Ends”); Robert Rusler (“A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge,” “Vamp,” “Weird Science”); Mark Patton (“A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge,” “Scream, Queen!”); and musician Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour).

Convention hours are from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 11a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

General admission costs $40 at the door on Friday and Sunday, and $50 at the door on Saturday. A SHRIEKend 3-day pass costs $90 at the door. Ticket sales and photo opportunities can be purchased at the door with cash. Credit cards will not be accepted

Kids 12 and younger will be admitted for free with an adult.
