CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Big celebrations are back for Fourth of July this year. Here’s a list of events that will hopefully help you enjoy a fun and patriotic Independence Day in Charlotte.

July 2
Town of Midland Fireworks Show
The town of Midland will host a fireworks show at 10 p.m. on Friday at Rob Wallace Park at 12900 Bethel School Road. website
July 2-4
July 4th Celebration and Parade in Tega Cay
The annual land parade will be held on Saturday and the fireworks show will be held on Sunday. website
July 3
Cramerton Independence Day Celebration
Cramerton Parks and Recreation will host a celebration featuring live music and fireworks from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday at Cramerton Centennial Center at 100 Center Street. Free admission. website
Mooresville Field of Flags Ceremony and Fireworks
See more than 600 American-made U.S. flags on display on the front lawn of the Lowe’s YMCA at 170 Joe V. Knox Ave. in Mooresville. The ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday. There will also be live music and fireworks. The flags will be on display from July 1-5. website
Indian Trail July 4th Parade
The town of Indian Trail will host a patriotic parade that will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday on Post Office Drive and end on Old Monroe Road. website
Queen’s Landing Independence Day Celebration
Grab a spot on the lawn and watch the fireworks show at Queen’s Landing on Lake Norman on Saturday. website
Red, White and Belmont
Enjoy live music and fireworks in downtown Belmont. 6-10 p.m. website
Red, White and Boom in Kings Mountain
Enjoy live music, inflatables and a patriotic laser light show from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday at Patriots Park at 220 South Railroad Ave. There will also be a fireworks show 9:45 p.m. from the Deal Park Walking Track. website
Red, White and Boom in Rock Hill
Enjoy live music, inflatables, food trucks and fireworks. 4-10 p.m. Free admission. website
Star Spangled Saturday at Optimist Hall
Enjoy live music from 6-9 p.m. and fireworks starting at 9:20 p.m. Free admission. website
July 3-4
Celebrate America Fireworks Show at Carowinds
See the skies above Carowinds light up with colors during the park’s “Celebrate America” fireworks show on Saturday and Sunday. website
Town of Harrisburg July 4th Celebration
Enjoy two days of live music and fireworks at Harrisburg Park at 191 Sims Parkway. Entertainment starts at 4 p.m. both days. Free admission. website
USNWC July 4th Celebration
The U.S. National Whitewater Center will celebrate July 4th with two days of live music and fireworks. Music starts at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. on both days. Free admission. Parking costs $6. website

July 4
Charlotte Knights / WBT SkyShow
SkyShow returns to Truist Field in uptown. A huge fireworks show will follow the Charlotte Knights game against the Norfolk Tides on Sunday. First pitch is at 6:05 p.m. Ticket prices vary. website
Baxter Village/Fort Mill July 4th Parade
The 18th annual Baxter Village/Fort Mill July 4th Parade will start at 9:30 a.m. at 940 Market Street. There will be classic cars, floats, street performers, mascots and other entertainment. Post parade festivities will be held at the Baxter Community Center. website
City of Gastonia July 4th Celebration
Enjoy live entertainment, food trucks and fireworks on Sunday at Rotary Pavilion at 111 N. South Street in Gastonia. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. Free admission. website
July 4th Bike Parade at Birkdale Village
Kids can decorate their bikes from 10-10:45 a.m. for the patriotic parade that begins at 11 a.m. A block party featuring live entertainment and other activities will follow the parade. Free admission. website
Kannapolis Cannon Ballers Fireworks
Fireworks will follow the team’s game against the Charleston River Dogs on Sunday at Atrium Health Ballpark in downtown Kannapolis. Tickets cost $11-$17. website
Town of Dallas July 4th Concert and Fireworks Show
Enjoy live music and fireworks at Cloninger Park in Dallas. Festivities start at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Free admission. website
Town of Waxhaw Independence Day Celebration
The town of Waxhaw will host a food truck rally with live music and activities for kids from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday along Church and McDonald Streets. website
City of York July 4th Celebration
The City of York will host its 4th annual July 4th Celebration from 7-10 p.m. on Sunday at York Middle School at 1010 Devinney Road. There will be live music, inflatables, food vendors and fireworks. Free admission. website
Salute from the Shore - South Carolina Beaches
Military and vintage planes will fly down the South Carolina coastline from 1-1:54 p.m. beginning at Cherry Grove and ending at Beaufort. website
July 4-5
Gastonia Honey Hunters Independence Day Promotions
The Gastonia Honey Hunters baseball team will celebrate July 4th on Sunday with an American flag giveaway and flyover by the U.S. Air Force. On Monday, there will be fireworks and an American flag enamel pin giveaway. Ticket prices start at $7. website
