CONCORD, N.C. — After hosting several successful drive-in movie nights for charity, Charlotte Motor Speedway has announced a weekly summer movie series.
“Speedway Drive-In” will be held every Wednesday through the summer. Classics and modern-day family films will be shown on the 16,000-square-foot Speedway TV.
“Providing great, family-friendly entertainment is in our DNA, and with one of the largest HD screens in the world, drive-in movies are a logical fit,” said Charlotte Motor Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Greg Walter in a news release.
Gates open at 5 p.m. each Wednesday night, with movies scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $30 per car and are available in advance through Ticketmaster.
Restrooms will be open. Otherwise, guests are asked to stay in their cars.
Concessions will not be sold onsite, but movie-goers are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.
Upcoming schedule:
Sept. 9 - Ferdinand
