Beer, Bourbon, BBQ Festival moves uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The annual Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival has found a new home for its 2020 iteration. The festival, previously held at Symphony Park, is moving to Bank of America Stadium.

The 14th annual event will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. on March 7 just outside the south entrance of the stadium in the Morehead Street parking lot.

More than 40 bourbons and 60 beers will be on tap. A great selection of barbecue will be available, as well, including pulled pork from whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chickens, sausages and any fixin’ you can imagine. Barbecue is sold ala carte.

Pro tip: You are allowed to bring your own nonalcoholic beverages and snacks for the day. All bags and coolers will be subject to search, however.

There will also be games (think giant Jenga, ping pong, Connect Four), live music and seminars with master distillers, brewmasters and pitmasters.

The festival is open to adults age 21 and older.

General admission costs $39 and includes a souvenir tasting glass for unlimited beer and bourbon sampling.

VIP tickets cost $75 and include early entry at noon and a barbecue plate dinner.

Advance tickets are available for purchase online here.
