CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Some consider him a prankster, while others hail him as an artistic genius, and despite no one knowing his identity, his work has sold for millions.
Famous British street artist Banksy is known for his work with stenciling and pieces such as “Girl and Balloon” and “Flower Thrower.” Now, fans of the elusive artist can see an exhibition featuring reproductions of his works in Charlotte.
“The Art of Banksy: Without Limits” is on display at Silver Hammer Studios at the AvidXchange Music Factory at 817 Hamilton St., through May 29. The exhibition features more than 155 pieces, including prints, photos, lithographs, sculptures, installations and murals — some of which were reproduced specifically for the exhibition.
Ticket prices start at $27.20 for adults. Lower-priced tickets are available for seniors, students (ages 13-26), members of the military, and children ages 4-12.
The exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
According to the event’s website, the show takes 60 to 90 minutes to view.
