FORECAST:
- “Keep that umbrella glued to your hand -- this rain is going nowhere,” Chief Meteorologist John Ahrens said on Tuesday afternoon.
- In fact, it will pick up through the night along with a few rumbles of thunder.
- After it subsides on Wednesday afternoon, be ready for a return to the cold, Ahrens said.
- It will be in the 40s by this time on Wednesday.
