FORECAST:
- We will be tracking showers and thunderstorms in the Charlotte area through the late afternoon and evening.
- The biggest threat will be heavy downpours.
- While the severe risk is not zero, it is quite small with a few storms capable of gusty winds.
- The rain will move on by midnight, and it will set us up for a great weekend.
