FORECAST:
- Light rain along, with a northeast breeze, is going to lock temperatures down into the 40s today.
- The rain will get heavier this weekend, with rounds of downpours likely each day. This could add up to about 2 inches in the metro and closer to 3-4 inches for the mountains.
- Right now, any flooding concerns are low, but bear watching.
- Temperatures will rebound at least back to the mid 50s Saturday and then into the 60s on Sunday.
- If things time out just right on Sunday, we may see some brief stronger storms develop. At the moment that risk is very low.
- New Year’s plans could be a bit wet, with the next weather maker coming in on Tuesday. The model trends have been drier though, which hopefully bodes well for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
