FORECAST:
- Clear and cold this morning, with some light snow continuing in the high country. No real additional accumulation is expected, but travel is slick up there.
- Some folks around the metro may even find some patches of ice here and there, but no widespread problem.
- Temperatures Tuesday struggle to reach the lower 40s, even with full sunshine.
- Dry and cold weather hangs on through Thursday before the next storm arrives on Friday.
- This continues to look like a winter storm for the Carolinas (not just the mountains!). All winter weather types are in play at this point.
- Still too early on amounts and where the worst impacts will be, but confidence is growing that a storm is coming to impact plans from Friday afternoon through Saturday morning.
