FORECAST:
- Wind Advisory for the mountains until 7 a.m. Saturday for winds gusting to 50 mph.
- We also have a Winter Weather Advisory for Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties until midnight.
- We’ll see a cold front move across the Carolinas today, bringing in cold and windy conditions for our Friday afternoon.
- The cold will continue into the weekend, with highs in the 40s.
- The good news is, we’ll be dry this weekend.
- Our next storm system will arrive on Sunday night into Monday, with heavy rain for our area during the Monday morning commute.
