FORECAST: Cold front moving through Carolinas, followed by storm system

FORECAST:

  • Wind Advisory for the mountains until 7 a.m. Saturday for winds gusting to 50 mph.
  • We also have a Winter Weather Advisory for Ashe, Avery and Watauga counties until midnight.
  • We’ll see a cold front move across the Carolinas today, bringing in cold and windy conditions for our Friday afternoon.
  • The cold will continue into the weekend, with highs in the 40s.
  • The good news is, we’ll be dry this weekend.
  • Our next storm system will arrive on Sunday night into Monday, with heavy rain for our area during the Monday morning commute.
