Breezy day ahead: Winds kept conditions fairly mild to start the day, with temperatures in the upper 50s early Tuesday morning. We aren't expecting much of a warm-up as the day goes on, with highs in the mid-to-lower 60s with plenty of sunshine. Winds will be out of the north, gusting up to 25 mph. The fire danger remains high.

Updated Freeze Warnings: Heading into Tuesday night, the National Weather Service has taken Mecklenburg, Gaston and Cleveland counties out of the Freeze Watch, and has upgraded the rest of the counties in the state to a Freeze Warning -- so as of Tuesday morning, no freeze watches or warnings will be issued in Charlotte. South Carolina counties will be under a Frost Advisory as temperatures will drop into the mid-to-lower 30s overnight with a clear sky.

Looking ahead: We are still looking at highs in the 60s through Thursday, with rain moving in early Thursday morning. Brief, heavy rain may be possible, but still no severe threat.
