The Charlotte area will get a nice break from the rain Wednesday, and conditions will be completely dry this morning across the board. Temperatures will warm into the low-to-mid 70s by Wednesday afternoon under partly cloudy skies.
The mountains may see a few showers late in the day and that rain chance will filter south by Thursday. Scattered downpours return for most of the region on Thursday and it will be much cooler, with highs only in the mid-60s.

A shower or two may linger for Friday before we get back to sunny and warm weather for the weekend.
