SUNDAY FORECAST: A winter storm has moved past the Charlotte area.
The winter storm moved into the region Sunday morning, bringing snow to the mountains, a mix of freezing rain and sleet to Charlotte and a rain event to neighborhoods southeast of the metro area.
There may be a few additional snow showers every once and a while in the mountains, but significant accumulation is not expected.

Iredell-Statesville School officials announced they will run on a 2-hour delay on Monday.
Officials said people should check with their airline regarding the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
Multiple power outages were also reported across the region. According to Duke Energy's outage map, nearly 2,000 people were without power in Rowan County during the afternoon hours.
Heavy rain approached around 11 a.m., switching the wintry mix over to rain for everyone.
Most of the heavy rain will clear out around 1 p.m., so there shouldn’t be issues for people heading out for Super Bowl plans. Temperatures will be in the mid-40s during the afternoon.

Temperatures will start in the upper 20s and will be in the 40s in the afternoon, but with plenty of sunshine.
Plenty of sunshine is expected early this week, and highs will be warmer and in the 50s. The next system approaches Wednesday, bringing rain.
