CHARLOTTE, N.C. — More rain is expected in the region on Monday, but for the remainder of the day on Sunday the weather is expected to remain fairly quiet through 6 p.m.
No lightning or major downpour issues are expected Sunday; however, later on in the evening a round of rain will make its approach from the south.
The bulk of the rain will move in over the night Sunday and may linger for the first half of the Monday morning commute.
After tomorrow morning, more storms will start up as the day goes on.
Lightning will be around that time with heavy rain and localized flooding as additional concerns.
Storms are expected to keep coming into the region each afternoon. The region will carry high rain chances even into Thursday.
Temperatures are about 10 degrees below normal Sunday. Temperatures will warm up slightly each day this week, but will stay away from any extreme heat.
