None — The East Charlotte DMV Office, currently located on Idlewild Rd., will be moving to a new location on December 2nd. The following information has been provided by N.C. DMV:
The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles has announced that the East Charlotte driver license office, located at 6407 Idlewild Road, Suite 3.112, will close at the end of the business day on Wednesday, Nov. 24 in preparation for its move to 6635 Executive Circle, Suite 130. It will reopen in its new location at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2. The new building offers more customer-friendly, updated office space and public restrooms. Driver license offices administer sign tests, written tests and road tests used to qualify applicants for a North Carolina driver license. The phone number will remain the same, (704) 531-5563 or (704) 531-5529. Office hours will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. During the closure, driver license services will be available at the following area offices:
