Our Charlotte Toyota Service techs examine the most common culprits
- It's dead! You may have left a light on in the cabin overnight or just have a bad battery, but if you turn the key and hear silence, you probably have a dead battery and your car isn't going anywhere. If you know how to jump start a battery you can get your car into our Toyota Service Center in Charlotte for a replacement; if not, you probably need to have a tow truck bring your ride in!
- You have loose battery cables. Before you assume that your car won't start because of a dead battery, check the cables to make sure they're snugly attached to the car battery. Our Charlotte Toyota Service techs are happy to check for you if you want to give them a call!

- You have bad spark plugs – when these fail, your engine can't get the spark it needs to turn over!
- You have problems with your oil; either it's too dirty to function, or you don't have enough of it! Remember to schedule your Charlotte oil changes on a routine basis.
- The ignition switch has gone bad. If you jiggle your keys and that helps the car get started, you probably need a new ignition switch.
