SPONSORED: An all-new Toyota bZ SUV concept has been revealed

Toyota bZ

The world has been abuzz about the release of the incredible and innovative 2023 Toyota bz4X since last year. This electrified crossover brings an all-new, all-electric option to drivers who want to cut emissions from their drive time and also have the latest and greatest tech. Well, we’ve got good news - an all-new bZ SUV concept was just unveiled, and our N Charlotte Toyota dealership has the scoop on it.

What is the new Toyota bZ SUV concept?

The new Toyota bZ concept is just that - a concept - but we have high hopes that it’ll make it into production and onto the lot at Toyota of N Charlotte one day soon. Here’s what we know so far about this new Toyota concept:

  • It’s going to be part of the bZ family. bZ stands for “beyond zero” and will include all of their battery-electric vehicles (not hybrids or plug-in hybrids).
  • It’s got an edgy, distinctive look. It’s aerodynamic with the wheels pushed out to the four corners for a lower stance; it’s also got short overhangs and sweepback angles and a narrower cabin design for a sportier overall aesthetic.
  • The new Toyota bZ SUV concept has premium finishes - we wouldn’t expect anything less - but it’s also got seating made from plant-based and recycled materials to lend to its green performance.
  • It’s also got the latest and greatest tech woven into its sleek design - are you surprised? This new Toyota SUV concept has “Yui” - it’s an in-car virtual personal agent that connected the driver and passengers with the vehicle through audio and visual lighting cues throughout the cabin. It can also respond to requests.

Toyota created the Toyota bZ SUV concept because it wanted to expand the bZ line and create a future where carbon neutrality is finally achieved through their expansive portfolio of alternative fuel options. Globally, Toyota hopes to offer more than 30 electric vehicle options with five of them standing under the bZ umbrella. The outcome? Hopefully pushing Toyota closer to its goal of being carbon neutral by 2050.

Like we said, the bZ SUV is just a concept, but we’re hoping it’ll become a reality. Electric cars are great drive-time options for certain types of drivers, and they’re definitely the way of the future. Here are some questions to ask yourself to decide if an all-electric car is going to be the right choice for you next time you’re looking for a new N Charlotte Toyota:

Are you ready to charge your car instead of filling up at the gas station? Electric cars like the 2023 Toyota bz4X and the bZ SUV concept run solely on electric charge - no gas needed. You can always charge at a public supercharger, but they’re not quite as common as gas stations and require more of a time commitment. You can also have a home charger installed in your garage for an investment (charging electric cars on a regular plug can take days to achieve a full charge). If you’re worried about charging the car (or running out of charge), then you may want to look into other alternative fuel options, like a hybrid or plug-in hybrid.

How do you get your electricity? Where does your electricity come from? If your aim is to go as green as possible, you’re going to need to do your research first. Electric cars are extremely clean in terms of emissions on the local level, sure (they produce none). However, if your electricity comes from fossil fuels, then you’re producing emissions on a non-local level every time you charge your car. If your electricity comes from wind, solar, or hydropower, it’s clean.

Do you want to cut fuel costs? Driving an electric car can be significantly cheaper. These N Charlotte Toyotas have fuel costs that are significantly less than gasoline-powered vehicles.
