Carolina Panthers game-day traffic guide

Football season is always exciting in Charlotte. The city comes alive with the excitement of game day and fans taking over the sidewalks decked out in their best Carolina Panthers gear. Along with game day fun comes an influx of cars on the city's streets and a lot more traffic driving into Uptown to get to Bank of America Stadium. To make your trip to the Queen City and the stadium a little smoother, here's a guide to help you navigate Carolina Panthers game traffic.

Location

Bank of America Stadium is located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte at 800 S Mint St.

Basic directions to the stadium:

From the South of Charlotte

Take I-85 N to Exit 34 (NC-27 / Freedom Drive / Tuckaseegee Road)

Keep left to NC-27 / Freedom Drive

Turn left on Moorehead St.

Follow Moorehead for a mile to S Mint St.

Take I-77 N to Exit 9B-C (I-277 / John Belk Frwy.)

Keep right to Exit 9B (I-277 / US-74 E / John Belk Frwy.)

Take Exit 1D Carson Blvd.

Turn left on S Mint St.

From the North of Charlotte

Take I-85 S to Exit 38 I-77 ( US-21 / Statesville / Columbia)

Keep left to I-77 S / US-21 S / Columbia

Exit 10A Moorehead St.

Turn left onto Moorehead St.

Follow Moorehead for .5 miles then turn left on S Mint St.

Take I-77 S to Exit 10A Moorehead St.

Turn left onto Moorehead St.

Game day parking:

to choose from in Uptown that's within walking distance of Bank of America stadium. Prices to park in lots or decks near the stadium vary, but typically range from $20 to $80 depending on how close to the stadium the lot/deck is located. Most parking lots accept only cash payments, but a few do accept debit or credit cards.

Tip: Some ticket packages include parking passes, so be sure to check your tickets before heading to the stadium.

Alternative options to driving to B of A:

Ride-share services are a great alternative if you want to avoid Carolina Panthers game traffic or plan to drink. Both Uber and Lyft operate in Charlotte. Download one of the apps beforehand to save time.
