Wrestling coaches banned after allegedly sinking teeth into rival coach

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — A former high school wrestling coach has been banned from coaching at the school after he allegedly bit a coach from a rival school.

Police said the incident happened Saturday night during an argument at Vance High School. According to a police report, the coach of the Vance High School wrestling team and her father got into an argument with the Myers Park High School wrestling coach, Rick Stack over the registration process for the matches.

Stack pointed at the Vance coach's father and said, "We don't do business that way," the report states.

That's when the man allegedly bit Stack, according to the report. Stack has injuries to his first and middle fingers on his right hand.

The Vance coaches were terminated and banned from coaching. Stack said, in light of the bans, he would not press charges.

The Vance High School coach was not identified in the report.
