Variety Of Job Seekers At Carowinds

FORT MILL, S.C.,None — Hundreds of people lined up at Carowinds on Saturday, hoping for a new job.

The amusement park began hiring more than 2,100 summer employees at 10 a.m., but the first people in line said they got there five hours early.

It's not just high school and college students looking for some work. Channel 9 also talked with people who were laid off recently and now hoping for something to help pay the bills.

"It's given us the opportunity in Charlotte for a lot of people to get a job and help them kind of rebound and get back on track," said Marlon Foust. He used to work in construction and recently lost his job. Now he's learning to be a chef and hoping to get a cooking position at Carowinds.
