CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Emily Houpt was injured in Tuesday’s UNC Charlotte shooting and has been released from a hospital.

She was among six students who were shot after a gunman entered a classroom in the Kennedy building and started firing. Two later died at a hospital.
"I'm hoping that she can recover fast,” her father said.
