OLIVER SPRINGS, Tenn. — A Tennessee woman threatened and attacked her husband with multiple weapons, including a gun and a meat cleaver, in a dispute over their television on Christmas, police said.
Nancy Bray Hawkins, 59, was arguing with her husband, Roy Hawkins, around 3:30 p.m. when the verbal altercation became violent, WATE reported.
Investigators said Nancy Hawkins started throwing household items at her husband before grabbing a loaded Taurus .38-caliber revolver. She pointed the gun at herself and him, saying she would kill him, WATE reported.
Roy Hawkins managed to take away the gun and then left the house. Nancy Hawkins ended up running after him armed with a 7.5-inch meat cleaver and an 8-inch knife, police said. He was able to take the weapons away from her. She then allegedly threw a metal pole at him, injuring his arm.
Nancy Hawkins was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault, WATE reported.
