CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This is too cool.
On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers debuted a mixed-reality technology that gives fans the chance to see animations interacting with the stadium in real time, Total Pro Sports reported.
Before the season opener at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Panthers introduced a fearsome large cat that bounded onto the field, leaped onto the scoreboard and tore off the Jets pennant. The ferocious feline then growled and scanned the stadium before leaping through the goal posts.
It must have worked some magic. The Panthers defeated the Jets, 19-14, to win their first season-opener since 2018.
