A pilot survived a plane crash but his plane is now a pile of wreckage after the aircraft was hit by a train Sunday.
Los Angeles police rescued the pilot from his Cessna just before a train destroyed the plane, Reuters reported. The incident was caught on video.

“The plane had a failed takeoff and landed on the train tracks at a popular intersection,” Luis Jimenez, the man who recorded the scene told Reuters. “Just seconds before impact police officers saved the pilot and a piece of debris almost hit me.”
The pilot had cuts and bruises but was in stable condition, Reuters reported.
Officials did not say how long the plane had sat on the tracks before they rescued the pilot or when officers were told of the plane crash, The Associated Press reported.
