According to CNN, the presale of a few of Swift’s new “Eras Tour” tickets began on Tuesday but fans became frustrated when Ticketmaster’s website crashed and froze.

Some fans reported that they were “temporarily paused” in the queue, according to NBC News.

Ticketmaster issued a statement, according to CNN, saying that “there has been historically unprecedented demand with millions showing up” to buy tour tickets. Ticketmaster also told fans who were in the digital queue waiting to buy tickets to be patient.

Ticketmaster shifted the start times for presales for other concert dates for Swift’s tour, according to CNN.

Rolling Stone compared interest in the presale to that of the “Hunger Games.” Rolling Stone reported that another round of tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18.

According to NBC News, Swift’s U.S. leg of her “Eras Tour” kicks off in March starting with two shows in Arizona and ending in August in Los Angeles. The “Eras Tour” has about 52 concert dates after Swift recently added 17 dates.

NBC News said that ticket sale frustration is not uncommon, and in recent years it has become “increasingly competitive and expensive” as Ticketmaster and their parent company, Live Nation, have continued to grow the music tour industry.

The Verified Fan experience has also been something with Ticketmaster in North America over the last few years that is basically like entering a lottery to buy tickets for certain shows, according to NBC News. It is meant to filter tickets to fans who actually want to go and push out scalpers. Ticketmaster gives those fans a code and link to enable them to buy tickets. NBC News said the process has been difficult and confusing for fans.
