CONWAY, S.C. — A South Carolina toddler and her mother have died after a shooting in Conway, authorities said.
According to the Myrtle Beach Sun News and the Post and Courier, Conway police responded Monday evening to reported gunfire at a Suggs Street home and found 23-year-old Tasjunique Graham shot dead, authorities said. Graham’s 3-year-old daughter, Bailey Simmon, also suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later died, officials said Wednesday.
Medical examiners plan to perform an autopsy on the girl, the Post and Courier reported.
Police, who continue to investigate the case, have neither named nor arrested any suspects, according to the news outlets.
