The Republican National Convention kicks off Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, with in-person events and live speakers, in contrast to the Democratic National Convention that was almost entirely virtual.
According to Republican officials, President Donald Trump will speak every night in prime time leading up to his Thursday night acceptance speech live from the White House lawn.
Monday’s speaker lineup will include former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley and Donald Trump Jr.
On Monday morning, there will be a roll call vote to formally nominate Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. According to organizers, delegates will be required to wear masks until the person representing the state steps up to the microphone.
The convention is set to stream from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET daily, Monday through Thursday.
