According to The Associated Press, the jackpot climbed to $1.2 billion after no one matched all six numbers in Monday’s drawing, marking 38 consecutive drawings without a winner. The last time someone won the jackpot for the Powerball was on Aug. 3.

The $1.2 billion jackpot is the fourth-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, according to the AP.

According to the AP, the jackpot has grown after every drawing that did not have a winner. The jackpot record is $1.586 billion, which was won by three Powerball players back in 2016.

Roughly 131.6 million Powerball plays were sold for Monday night’s drawing, spokeswoman Anna Domoto for the Multi-State Lottery Association told the AP. With that many tickets told, the AP said that created about 36.3% of all possible number combinations to be covered, as well as millions of players picking the same numbers.

The odds are one in 292.2 million of winning the lottery, which means about 186 million number combinations were not covered, according to the AP, hence why no one won the jackpot.

The Powerball is played in 45 states, including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held three days a week — Monday, Wednesday and Saturday just before 11 p.m. ET.

The winning numbers from Monday’s drawing were 13, 19, 36, 39, 59 and the red Powerball was 13, according to lottery officials. The Power Play was 3.
