FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina couple who mistakenly thought their robotic vacuum was an intruder Wednesday hid in their closet and called 911.
Deputies arrived at the home just after midnight and alertly found the culprit -- the homeowner’s recently purchased Eufy robotic vacuum, which they named Harry, had powered on, got stuck and was banging against a wall, WGHP reported.
"It definitely is better safe than sorry because having heard what we did,” homeowner Thomas Milam told WGHP. “I still would have called the police because you just never know.”
“Though this was embarrassing for us, it also warmed our hearts you had such great attitudes about it and were there to help so quickly!”
