Vick, who played for the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers over 15 seasons, served a prison sentence on federal charges related to dogfighting and gambling, NBC Sports reported.
The NFL suspended him for his role in dogfighting but reinstated him in 2009 with the Eagles. He retired from the NFL and the Falcons in 2017. He had a role with the Kansas City Chiefs before becoming an analyst with Fox Sports, the Post reported.
He has also become an animal rights activist and works with the Humane Society, the Post reported.
Vick will join Terrell Davis, Darrell Green and Bruce Smith as honorary captains at the game on Jan. 26 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, the NFL announced last month.
