MASON, Ohio — It wasn’t just a happy little accident that Bob Ross appeared on a coaster at Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio.
It wasn’t the late painter of course, but dozens of plush dolls in Ross’s likeness, with his signature permed hair, were strapped into the seats of the Orion coaster for a test run, WHIO reported.

The dolls zoomed along the track at 91 mph.
The Orion opened last year and is King Island’s longest, fastest and tallest coaster. It is one of only seven “giga-coasters” in the world, meaning it has a height of 300 to 399 feet, the park said. It has 5,321 feet of track and the ride lasts 3 minutes.
The dolls will not go into storage and be forgotten after their day riding the giga-coaster. They will be given as prizes at some of the amusement park’s games of chance, WHIO reported.
