READING, Pa. — A 16-year-old Pennsylvania girl was fatally shot by a 14-year-old boy during an argument Friday night, authorities said.
A 17-year-old girl, the sister of the victim, suffered a nonfatal gunshot to her leg during the argument in Reading, the Reading Eagle reported.
Police said the alleged shooter, who turns 15 next week, had a recent history of violent criminal offenses, the newspaper reported. The boy discharged his weapon during an argument, Reading Police Chief Richard Tornielli said in a news release.

According to the Berks County coroner’s office, the victim died as a result of her injuries at 11:14 p.m., WFMZ reported.
The boy was arrested and will be charged as an adult with homicide and related charges, Tornielli said.
His name has not been released yet since he has not been formally arraigned as of Saturday, the Eagle reported.
Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams called the shooting “horrific.”
“He had no business having a gun, and in our investigation we will want to find out who gave him that gun,” Adams told reporters.
