Officers, responding to a suspicious activity report, found Jesse Stover at the fast-food restaurant on Commerce Parkway, where witnesses said that he flashed a badge at employees and demanded his discount again, WFTV reported.

According to the TV station, an argument ensued during which Stover told employees that he was not a police officer but working for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration as an undercover agent.

Investigators determined that Stover has actually been a regular customer at the restaurant and had been asking for the discount for more than two years, WFTV reported.

According to WWSB, police found a badge resembling a police shield when arresting Stover. The badge, found in his wallet, read “Concealed Weapons Permit.”
