Dearon “Deezer D” Thompson has died.
He was 55, Entertainment Tonight reported.
Thompson’s brother, Emmery Thompson, confirmed the actor’s death on Instagram, the entertainment news outlet reported.
Dearon Thompson was found unresponsive at his Los Angeles home on Thursday, TMZ reported.
The cause of death has not been released, but Thompson had heart surgery in 2009.
Dearon Thompson is best known for his role as nurse Malik McGrath on “ER” from 1994 to 2009. He also appeared in films “CB4,″ “Fear of the Black Hat” and “Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion,” and television shows including “Bringing Down the House and “The John Larroquette Show.”
He also was a hip-hop artist with his final song, “History Can’t Be Stopped” released Friday, Deadline reported.
