INDIO, Calif. — Harry Styles is nothing if not a crowd pleaser, and the 28-year-old singer wowed fans during Coachella’s opening night by not only debuting two new songs but welcoming country artist and ‘90s superstar Shania Twain onstage for a pair of duets.
The duo performed two of Twain’s pop-crossover hits, “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “You’re Still the One,” with Billboard describing Styles as “at his gender-fluid best” during the former.

According to People magazine, Styles opened the show with his new single, “As It Was,” before launching into his biggest hits; tossed in a throwback solo rendition of megahit “What Makes You Beautiful” from his One Direction days; and interspersed the fan favorites with two tracks – “Boyfriend” and “Late Night Talking” – from the upcoming “Harry’s House” album, set to drop May 20.
While performing with Twain, however, Styles addressed the crowd, saying, “Now I have to tell you, in the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing,” the entertainment news publication reported.
According to Billboard, “You’re Still the One” was Twain’s highest-charting song ever on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 2, while “Man!” topped out at No. 23 on the chart. “The One” was also a No. 1 hit on both the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, the outlet reported.

For her part, Twain told the crowd: “I’m [at a] loss for words, I’m a bit starstruck ... when I was writing this song, you were just a kid, so it’s kind of a dream and very surreal to be sitting right here now, singing this song with you.”
