As the officer exited his vehicle, the burning van began rolling down the driveway, according to dash-camera footage. A man was standing on the other side of the driveway, and an officer can be heard yelling, “Hey, watch out!”
The van rolled into an empty lot across the street, KNWA reported.
The officer grabbed a fire extinguisher and ran toward the van, dousing the flames coming from the vehicle that had already spread to the brush in the empty lot, the television station reported.
Members of the Fayetteville Fire Department arrived and were able to put out the flames.
Police officials said there were no reported injuries, KNWA reported.
