PACIFICA, Calif. — A California hiker died after she fell 50 feet from a Pacifica cliff on Sunday, authorities said.
Yvonne Estrada Rogan, 45, of Daly City, was hiking on a Mori Point trail when she tripped and fell off the trail at about 9:40 a.m. PDT, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
Rogan was found unresponsive about 50 feet below the trail on Rockaway Beach and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to KRON.
The 110-acre Mori Point park is popular for its trails that hug the coastline, offering hikers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, the Chronicle reported.
A GoFundMe page was set up to cover Rogan’s funeral expenses and had raised more than $18,000 by Monday evening.
