MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Six people were injured, two critically, after a 16-car pileup Thursday on a Memphis highway, authorities said.
According to the Memphis Fire Department, the wreck occurred at about 5 p.m. CST on Austin Peay Highway.
Fire officials said two of the victims were in critical condition, WHBQ-TV reported. The other four victims suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.
Drivers were forced to navigate slick roads during the afternoon drive, which led to the accident.
