262 suspects arrested, 5 children found during U.S. Marshals’ Operation Triple Beam in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities in Oklahoma arrested more than 260 people and found five missing or endangered children in a recent investigation led by the U.S. Marshals Service, officials announced Thursday.

According to KOCO-TV, the two-month-long investigation, dubbed Operation Triple Beam, focused on Oklahoma City-area gang activity and involved several local and state law enforcement agencies. By the time the operation ended on Sept. 6, officials had arrested 262 suspects, including 141 confirmed to be involved in gangs, U.S. Marshals said. Their alleged crimes included homicide, assault, sexual assault, drug distribution, illegal firearm possession, arson and robbery, KOCO reported.

U.S. Marshals added that authorities seized about $17,000, as well as 9 kilograms of narcotics and 72 firearms during the investigation, according to KOCO. Officials also discovered five children who had been considered missing or endangered, authorities said.
