As 2022 begins to come it an end, Apple Music and Pandora have announced the top steaming songs of the year.
For Apple:
Justin Bieber and The Kid Laroi’s “Stay” earned the top spot on Apple Music’s global song chart, The Associated Press reported.
“Stay” stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks over the summer and was the top song on Apple’s chart for 51 days.
As for Apple Music’s Shazam chart, that honor goes to “Cold Heart (PNAU/Remix)” by Elton John and Dua Lipa.
Everyone was talking about Bruno, and it showed as “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from “Encanto” was the song with the most-read lyrics for 2022.
Earlier in November, Apple Music named Bad Bunny the Artist of the Year, thanks to the album “Un Verano Sin Ti,” which was the most streamed album of 2022 and most streamed Latin album in Apple Music history.
Apple Music compiled the lists from data starting on Nov. 1, 2021, until Oct. 21, 2022, Forbes reported.
If you’re wondering what your own Apple Music 2022 list looks like, the AP reported that the platform has rolled out Apple Music Replay. Apple Music Replay is dynamic, so that means if you go on a genre kick next week, the list could look different than it does now.
For Pandora:
Apple Music isn’t alone in sharing what the most streaming music was for 2022.
Pandora said that “Wait For U” Future feat. Drake and Tems was the top song for 2022, with Bad Bunny earning five songs in the Top 100, the most of any artist this year, the AP and Forbes reported.
Pandora’s streaming was measured from mid-November 2021 until this month, Forbes reported.
