CINCINNATI — A 2-year-old boy from Cincinnati, Ohio, is battling a form of bone cancer and has only months to live. So, Easton Wilson is trying to celebrate all of the holidays that are celebrated throughout the year in only one week, WLWT reported.
He’s accomplishing it thanks to Make-A-Wish.
Easton was diagnosed earlier this year with osteosarcoma in his knee, a form of bone cancer, his mother Tracy Wilson told WLWT.
They tried chemotherapy but he didn’t respond to the treatment. Cancer has spread to his lungs, his other knee, his foot and shoulders. They decided to try another round of chemotherapy but won’t know for a few weeks if it is defeating the illness.
Tracy Wilson said the family asked doctors how much time her son has left.
“We asked them, you know, I know they can’t tell me but, ‘How much time?’ Because Christmas is coming, his birthday’s in February, my daughter’s birthday was coming up. And the doctor basically said, ‘I wouldn’t see February.” Tracy Wilson told WLWT.
Easton is now under the care of hospice.
Make-A-Wish is granting his wish to celebrate his birthday, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, Fourth of July, Easter and Thanksgiving all in one week. He will also celebrate Christmas on Tuesday with a parade in his honor.
WLWT and Make-A-Wish are planning to shower Easton with cards.
