JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — At least one person died Sunday after a small recreational aircraft crashed on a Florida golf course, officials said.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said there was only one person on the ultralight aircraft when it crashed around 6:30 a.m. at the Blue Sky Golf Club, WJAX reported.
The pilot, only identified as a white male in his 60s, is not believed to have a pilot’s license, which is not required to operate an ultralight, WJAX reported. He was practicing flight techniques when he crashed.
