LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. — An Indiana woman has pleaded guilty to two charges after receiving a package of drugs at her home addressed to "Grandma Stinky."
A tipster told police that Debra Ferguson, 59, received marijuana in the mail on a regular basis, WXIX reported. Local law enforcement worked with the United States Postal Service to coordinate a controlled delivery to Ferguson's home. A search warrant was issued after the delivery of the package.
“Officers obtained numerous narcotic prescription medications that were packaged for delivery, multiple packages of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, packaging supplies, cellphones, and an undisclosed amount of cash,” said Josh Daugherty, Aurora’s police chief, in a news release from the prosecutor's office of Dearborn and Ohio Counties.

Ferguson pleaded guilty this week to possession of methamphetamine and corrupt business influence, prosecutor Lynn Deddens said in a news release posted on Facebook. Ferguson received a six-year prison sentence. Her son, Eric Ferguson, who sent the package to his mother, also pleaded guilty and received a six-year suspended sentence in which he will serve probation, the prosecutor said.
