HOUSTON — The scared boy screams, cries and pleads with his mother not to throw him out of the house.

With his suitcase packed and waiting by the door, she gives her young son a sign to hold:

"My mom kicked me out because I voted for Donald Trump."

The mother castigates the boy, who had voted for the president-elect in a mock election at school, in the four-minute cellphone video that went viral Friday.

Now, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office and Child Protective Services are investigating, according to KHOU.

In the video, the mother is heard saying, "Get your suitcase and get out. We don't do Donald Trump here."

The boy walks down the sidewalk and holds the sign at the end of the driveway, his mother can be heard saying, "Bye, Donald Trump lover."

As the boy stands there his mother asks: "Why did you vote for him at school?"

"Because I see him a lot on TV," the boy replies.

A detective met with the family and said the boy appears to be in good shape. The mother said she was just trying to make a joke.

"I have personally met with the family and saw the child, his well-being. He appears to be in good health," Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Detective Joe Luera told KTRK.

While the video might be disturbing, there is no evidence of criminal wrongdoing, investigators said.

The mother apologized for the video.
