Fireworks recalled for overloaded pyrotechnics ahead of Fourth of July

Thousands of fireworks overloaded with pyrotechnics have been recalled ahead of the Fourth of July.

An 8-year-old boy lost his hand after he and a 12-year-old boy found a broken end of a Talon rocket and lit it, the consumer safety group said.

The recalls include:

Twenty-two brands of fireworks sold at Patriot Pyrotechnics in Sheridan, Michigan, from January 2017 to July 2018 for $100 to $125.

Twenty-six brands of fireworks sold at GS Fireworks in Wyoming, Michigan, from March 2018 to May 2018 for $10 to $125.

About 1,660 G-Force Artillery Shell fireworks sold at Keystone Fireworks in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from November 2018 to May 2019 for about $60.

About 25,000 various Grandma's Fireworks sold at Grandma's Fireworks in Indiana from January 2009 to April 2019.
