Black Friday proved to be another big sales day, as consumers spent a record $7.4 billion online.
Shoppers looking to score deals on electronics, appliances and toys bought at a feverish pace, according to preliminary data compiled by Adobe Analytics. The company measures transactions from 80 of the top 100 online retailers, according to Fox News.
Adobe Analytics reported Thanksgiving Day online sales were up 15% from a year ago at $4.2 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported. Based on Adobe's early data, the Black Friday sales were projected to be up 19% from last year, CNN reported.
On average, shoppers spent $5.3 million per minute in online purchases during Black Friday, according to Fox News.
Cyber weekend continued with Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday looms in two days.
Early figures from Saturday showed more than $470 million had been spent by 9 a.m. Saturday, CNN reported.
According to Adobe, Cyber Monday could bring in $9.4 billion in online sales.
