SHELBY, N.C.,None — Police in Shelby arrested a man in connection with a shooting that happen early Sunday morning on Elizabeth Avenue.
Police charged Montavius Rosboro, 21, with murder in connection with the death of 21-year-old Leon Thurman, Jr.
Thurman was pronounced dead at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Police said they received a call less then an hour later after the first shooting reporting a drive-by shooting at the suspect's address.
No one was injured in the second shooting, police said.
Investigators told our newspaper partner, The Shelby Star, the drive-by may have been in retaliation to the first shooting.
